‘Hocus Pocus 2’ to Debut on Disney+ in 2022 With the Original Cast
They cast a spell on you and now they are back! Sanderson Sisters is returning to your TV with the live-action comedy Hawk's Pocus 2.
The original sequel film will officially debut on Disney + in 2022 with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Nazimi, and reprise her roles as witches Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson. Cheat Dana 2 will premiere about 30 years after the original film, which debuted in 1939.

With the addition of a writer, there remains hope of a return to the original stars.
In this follow-up to the Halloween cult classic, three young women accidentally bring Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must find a way to stop the starving witches of children from wreaking more havoc on the world.
Production is set to begin this fall under the direction of Anne Fletcher, who takes over the responsibility of directing from friend and collaborator Adam Shankman. Instead, Shankman is currently conducting the Enchanted sequel with Amy Adams, disappointed, but Hocus will remain a creative force as an executive producer on Pocus 2.
"Now more than ever, people need to laugh. We need to laugh every day, and it's a lot of fun to play a delicious character in such a cute movie with these three incredible women," says director Anne Fletcher. "I'm in I am very grateful to be able to play a role in bringing witches back to life, and reworking with my friends at Disney makes it all the more special. This is a film for everyone, from the audience that grew up with the first film to the next generation of audiences, and I can't wait to start it anymore. "
Joining Shankman as executive producers are Ralph Winter and David Kirshner who will work alongside producer Lynn Harris and co-producer Steven Haft.
Following the directing shakeup, Shankman says "As my heart breaks I won't be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah Jessica, and Kathy, who are definitely short of a big event due to scheduling conflicts for Disney + No., I could not be more happy to hand over the reins to Anne, who has brought so much laughter and joy to people's lives from her past work. "

A New ‘Hocus Pocus’ Movie Is in the Works at Disney+
In time for the most glorious season of all, it has been reported that Disney + is currently working on a new Hawk Pocus film for the streaming platform.
The beloved Halloween-set film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Nazimi debuted back in 1993, but the enthusiasm of fans has not waned much in the last 26 years. According to Collider, who broke the news, Jane D'Angelo (Workaholics) will serve as the writer and co-producer on the project.
Although it is unclear whether the film will be a direct sequel, D'Angelo will reportedly try to include the Sanderson sisters - Winifred (Midler), Sarah (Parker) and Mary (Nazimi). No one is attached to the title at this time, but Disney hopes the original stars will be included in some way.
A family film, Cheat has become a cult classic over the years and is particularly popular around the fall season. The film follows a group of children who, after waking up the Salem witch sisters, must stop their diabolical plan to live on Earth and target children to maintain their youth and beauty.
The original film was directed by Kenny Ortega, who worked on a screenplay written by Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert. Other original stars of the film included Omri Katz as Max, Thora Birch as Dani, Vanessa Shaw as Allison, and Doug Jones as Billy. Sean Murray of NCIS played the role of Thacker, and Jason Marsden voiced the character's cat form, Binx.
