Sundar Pichai was born in the year 1972 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Only the father of the British company was an engineer in GEC. Pichai had studied from Chennai till class X. He later earned a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur (1989–93). He was always the topper of his batch. He topped his batch in the final examination and won a silver medal. After finishing his studies in IIT, Pichai went to Stanford University in America for further studies.
