LAS VEGAS - In his seventh career Ultimate Fighting Championship bout, Sean O'Malley reigned victorious again, this time ending the fight by technical knockout against Chris Mutinho to record 14-1 on aggregate.
Despite Mutinho's early attack in the bout, O'Malley remained calm and made striking landings of more than 70% of his total strikes, recording the bout's only knockdown in the first round.
From there, O'Malley appeared in the driver's seat with UFCStats.com reporting that he landed 112 of 163 head shots in the fight.
O'Malley was able to close the door on Moutinho with a quick double jab in the third, which was followed by another big strike that caused UFC referee Herb Dean to end the fight by TKO.
With the win, O'Malley moved up 14-1 in his UFC career and could move up into the UFC top 15 rankings.
