Lil Nas X Tears It Up on Saturday Night Live
Lil Ness x Saturday Night Live was the highlight of the season finale.
Lil Nas X brushed off a wardrobe malfunction & stole the show with a pair of impressive performances during the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 22.
Donning leather pants alongside a crew of shirtless dancers, Lil Nas X 1st performed "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," a wildly popular hit song that put queer themes front-&-center & shot to the top of the charts immediately after debuting in late March.
It was the 1st time Lil Nas X performed the song live - & he did not shy away one bit. One of the dancers licked him during the smooth & sweaty performance in front of a mainstream national audience.
But when Lil Ness X proceeded to dance on a pole, his leather pants burst - & his face glowed with surprise. He managed to cover before finishing the song without any difficulty.
A few minutes after the song ended, he wrote in a tweet, "My pants did not break on live on TV." "OMFG No."
Lil Nas X also participated in a pre-recorded Pride-related skit during the show before returning to the stage in a white suit to perform "Sun Goes Down", which was released on May 21. The emotional song centered on Lil Naas X during his youth when he struggled with his sexuality.
Lil Ness X pulled off the performance duo with ease, but after the show he revealed the obstacles that came his way.
"At 1st I was too afraid to perform," he wrote on Twitter. "Then we rehearsed for two weeks, then all the dancers were removed because one had COVID & the newcomers had to learn the routine in 24 hours, & then I tore my pants & could not finish. everythings happens for a reason.
Lil Nas X's full album, "Montero" is expected to be released during the summer.
