Actress Mayim Bialik to debut as 'Jeopardy!' guest host
Culver City, California - Actress Mayim Balik "Jopardi!" as the guest host of On Monday night, during his two-week stint, the contestant matched up with victories and donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
The coalition is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the country. It provides education programs aimed at providing support and information to families, individuals, and teachers; Helps shape national public policy for people with mental illness and their families; Provides resources to volunteer leaders to lobby on behalf of increasing funding for mental health programs at the state level; and operates a toll-free help line to personally answer hundreds of thousands of requests each year, providing free information and support.
Balik recently started a podcast on mental health, "Mayim Balik's Breakdown."
"Danger!" has donated $1,250,125 to the charity of its guest hosts' choice. The amount is determined by the contestants' cumulative wins during their weeks as hosts.
The game show called 2021's "Jeopardy!" also matched the grand prize for $250,000. Tournament of Champions, which aired Friday and donated that amount to the Hope of the Valley Trebek Center for the Homeless, at the former site of the Skateland roller rink in Northridge.
Rink's purchase late "Danger!" was funded by a donation of $500,000. Host Alex Trebek and his wife Jean "Danger!" Guest hosts have turned to fill the role held by Trebek since its syndicated revival began in 1984.
