Mason Mount and his England teammates have Lando Norris after the McLaren Formula One driver's brother set up racing simulators at his Euro 2020 training camp.
Norris told reporters at the French Grand Prix in Le Castellet that some players had texted to say they were trying to beat their benchmark lap at Brands Hatch.
"I know some of them are trying to beat one of my lap times on the simulator that I did at Brands. I don't think any of them have yet. I know Mason said he was trying too hard to beat me," he said.
Norris said the Chelsea midfielder had sent him the England shirt and he would wear it when he could see it.
England will play Scotland in a Group D match later on Friday at Wembley.
"There are some people who definitely want to come to a race. I said it would be great if they could come to Silverstone but obviously they can't because football is on and they are very busy during the next month are," Norris said.
"It's a shame but hopefully in the future I can score some of those goals."
A keen player as a child and a casual Bristol City fan, Norris said he followed England when the big tournaments were underway but otherwise didn't see much.
Norris was also looking forward to some friendly rivalry, with his Belgian mother and the boss of the German team.
"If my mother asks me who I am supporting, I will say Belgian. That's why I have parted ways. I would like both of them to do well," he said.
"I really, really hope we go against Germany and break them down so I can laugh at [Principal] Andreas [Seidel]. If that happens it will be my year."
