Sources told ESPN that the mother of France international Adrian Rabiot spoke the words with Kylian Mbappe's father during Les Blaise's loss to Switzerland at the stands of the National Arena in Bucharest on Monday.
According to various sources, Véronique Rabiot, who is his son Adrian's agent, asked Wilfried Mbappe to talk to his son because he was too arrogant and was not playing for the team.
According to ESPN sources, Mbappe's father did not take the criticism well, as things heated up between the two families and voices began to rise.
Shortly after, Mrs. Rabiot had a similar incident with Paul Pogba's family. After yelling at Pogba for losing the ball that had led to Switzerland's third goal in the 91st minute of the game, the player's brothers in the stands responded by yelling back at him.
Sources said tension was evident in the stands, with both incidents also taking place in front of the other players' families and the relatives of France manager Didier Deschamps.
This isn't the first time Rabiot's mother and agent has made headlines. In 2019, he accused Paris Saint-Germain president and CEO Nasser Al-Khelai'i of "poisoning" the team with the treatment of his son when he was marginalized in the Ligue 1 club's squad.
Adrian Rabiot now plays for Serie A side Juventus and was a regular in Deschamps' team, which crashed out of Euro 2020 for Switzerland in the round of 16.
