Barcelona defender Jean-Claire Todibo has joined Nice for an initial €8.5 million to kickstart an expected summer getaway at the Camp Nou.
If the add-ons are rolled out the deal could be worth €15.5m for Todibo, while Barca will also be due a percentage of any future transfers.
Barca have already signed four contracts this summer and President Joan Laporta has spoken of a desire to bring in "three out of four" players.
However, La Liga president Javier Tebas has warned Catalan clubs to cut their wage bill before being able to register any new signings.
Tebas' threat also covered up any potential new deal for Lionel Messi, out of contract in just three days.
The La Liga chief said Barca should take measures to be able to enroll all their players with the salary cap imposed by the league.
Barca used to claim the biggest salary cap in La Liga at more than €600m, but this has been nearly halved following the coronavirus pandemic.
The cuts began last summer with the departures of Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic but this year more players will have to leave.

Todibo's move to Nice doesn't leave much room on the salary bill as he was on loan last season but the transfer fee will help Barca balance the books.
When Laporta took over in March, the club had more than €1 billion in debt, although they have since been given a €525m loan to help them through this rocky period.
With Todibo leaving and young United States winger Conrad de la Fuente joining Marseille, Barca will now focus on several other squad players.
However, despite being open to proposals for Junior Firpo, Philippe Coutinho, Neto, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite, among others, they are yet to fill out with bids.
Todibo, 21, first joined Barca from Toulouse in 2019, but failed to make a regular appearance in the squad.
After some first team appearances and loan spells with Schalke and Benfica, he joined Nice on loan earlier this year and has now returned to France on a permanent deal.
