Nottingham, MD - The National Weather Service has issued a severe storm warning and a flash flood warning for the Nottingham area.
The thunderstorm warning will remain in effect till 3.45 pm. And the flood warning will remain in effect till 9 pm. on Thursday.
Just before 3 p.m., a strong thunderstorm hit Carney and it's almost constant. This storm is accompanied by winds of 60 mph.
Some trees and large branches will fall due to damaging winds. It can injure people outside, as well as damage homes and vehicles. The road can be blocked by falling trees. Localized power cuts are possible. Unprotected light objects can become projectiles.
Doppler radar also indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding continues in the Alert Area or is expected to begin soon. It has rained 1 to 3 inches.
These warnings affect Towson, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Overly, Fullerton, Rossville, Golden Ring, White Marsh, Fallston, Hampton, Kingsville, Joppa, Lutherville-Timonium, Nottingham, Glen Arm and Fork.
