Robert Lewandowski scored twice as Bayern Munich continued stellar form as they beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 to win the German Super Cup on Tuesday, which saw them score 41 goals last season in the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski set a single-season league scoring record on the final day of last season to break the 49-year-old mark of Bayern Munich legend Gerd Müller, who died at the age of 75 on Sunday.
Thomas Müller added a second four minutes after the break as Alfonso Davies broke the ball to the left before squared off the box. Lewandowski got a bit of a touch to move the ball the way of Mueller, who slammed it home.

Dortmund's hopes of a comeback were shattered when Lewandowski attacked an error from Manuel Akanji and fired a low drive into the bottom corner to make it 3–1 in the 74th minute as Bayern secured their first trophy of the season.
