Kelly Ripa shares ‘proud mom’ tassel celebrating son Michael’s graduation
Kelly Ripa on Wednesday honored son Michael Concellos, celebrating the 22-year-old's graduation from New York University.
The 49-year-old co-host of "Live With Kelly & Ryan" posted a photo of the pair, showing Ripa holding a "Proud Mom" pendant on Instagram.
"This kid! #Nyu @ # 2020," Ripa shared on her Instagram story as Michael gave the camera a thumbs up.
Michael - the oldest of three children of Ripa and husband Mark Concellos - studied film at the New York Institute.
In the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, NYU announced its plan to postpone the start of May 20 at Yankee Stadium in March.
Earlier this month, Ripa revealed that Michael was helping from behind the scenes as she taped "Live" from home.
"He's actually working while he's finishing up because he's ready to graduate from college ... I told him, 'Look good. I mean you're here, you got a job before graduating." Got it. It's to make you feel good. "He's like, 'Uh, yeah,'" Ripa said on a previous broadcast.
A source later told Page Six that Michael had not been hired by the ABC Daytime Series.
"He is just helping, he is not getting paid," the insider said.
Ripa and Michael are not the only members of the family to put their stamp on "Live". On Monday, the 49-year-old Concellos filled in for Ripa's co-host, Ryan Seacrest, who took a day off after Sunday night's "American Idol" finale.
After the finale of "Idol", the representative of The Secret released a statement to People stating that the 45-year-old man did not have a stroke during the broadcast, when fans speculated on social media about his well-being.
On Tuesday, Secret returned to his post on "Live" citing "exhaustion" for his absence.
