Most memorable Friends reunion moments, from Lady Gaga to Matt LeBlanc
Commentary: Gaga does not stink while singing Smellly Cat, and LeBlanc's good humor like Joey makes her the most likable friend.
The best parts of Friends: The Reunion, now streaming on HBO Max, include only six main cast members. James Corden cleverly handles the host duties; Celebrities appear including BTS, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga; The producers of the show share the behind-the-scenes stuff - and it's all good. But the moments you'll miss the most from the celebration of the iconic NBC sitcom are when Jennifer Aniston, Kourtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are just chatting on an old set, like no one else in the world. Is present in
It is said again and again in the reunion: Friend is about the time in life when your friends are your family. Is it any wonder, then, that the show has such a hobby for it, especially among those who grew up with it and later went on to have partners and perhaps children, hostages and high-pressure careers? Who wouldn't want, even for a moment, to come back in a time of less responsibilities and laugh more?
There is a segment in the reunion where the actors (except Schwimmer, who can't remember it) remember a scene in which they decide to throw a ball back and forth as long as they can. Even if you've never played that exact game, there's something in it that reminds viewers of that time of their lives when they shared some trivial and unbelievable looks with their best friends Must have spent hours doing satisfactory work. We might not have the appearance of friends or their expensive New York apartments. Maybe we didn't have a pet monkey. But the show has a universal element that made it such a big hit.
Here are the friends: Six moments of The Reunion that will remind you of the time when your own friends were with you. (Note: There also comes a time when Aniston and Schwimmer revealed that they had genuine feelings for each other, but while it was causing a lot of buzz, it cut as one of my favorite moments Didn't.)

1. Opening
The reunion special is an hour and 45 minutes long, but there is no more heart touching scene than the opening, as the six actors go back to different sets where they became wildly famous. Schwimmer, who plays Ross Geller, laughs. Aniston, who plays Rachel Green, begs for a tissue box. LeBlanc - the protagonist of the reunion to keep things light when they could tear up - speculates on whether a set wall was always purple. (Rest of the cast: "Yes!") If you've ever been to a good reunion, or have met friends you still love, but haven't seen in a while, this might be the most mesmerizing of the entire show. Is part of

2. General Knowledge Competition
Before the reunion aired, there was speculation as to whether the actors would play their old characters again. They don't, but they play a trivia game about the series, mimicking the episode where Joey Tribiani and Chandler Bing go up against neighbors Rachel and Monica in a general contest, with prizes as their more. Try to conquer the spacious apartment. In these blissful scenes, the show feels like an unseen Friends episode from previous years, with LeBlanc yelling that he knows the answer when the girls waffle, and Aniston shouts at the guys saying "It's not your turn!" Whenever a colorful question cuts to a reunion trivia game with Schwimmer in front of the board, stop scrolling through your phone and stay tuned. It is as good as it gets.
3. Lady Gaga Sings Fragrant Cat
Kudrow's Phoebe Buffay character was famous for her goofy folk songs, with Smellie Cat being the most memorable. So when she pulls out her guitar on the Central Perk couch to shout about poor kitty once again ("It's not your fault!"), Listen. Lady Gaga meets Kudrow for the song's singing, and everything about the scene is thunderous. How many viewers have sung this song for its fragrant feel over the years? A classic gets a new spin.

4. Regular people share their love for friends
Certainly, most of the best scenes in the reunion feature the main six actors - not many good things about her appearance as Rachel's sister in Reese Witherspoon fan-girling. But in a surprisingly touching segment, the show cuts to videos from regular fans around the world about how friends touched them, and while it sounds like a cornball setup, it works.
A man reminisces about the show when his father received a severe medical diagnosis, and a gay man says that the show made him feel less alone at a time when he couldn't share who he was. "I came home for friends," one says. "They were my friends." It sounds like a line written by a publicist, you believe it. The show was so good.
5. Matt LeBlanc pulls out his shoulder
Back in an old episode, there is a scene where LeBlanc's Joy physically throws himself on a chair. On the fourth reshoot of the scene, we learn, LeBlanc injures himself. He took his shoulder out, and the actors currently watching the show shouted and expressed sympathy. LeBlanc is the absolute star of the reunion - he brings laughter when needed, he truly loves everyone, he still seems thrilled to be a part of things, and his fond memories are spread throughout the discussion.
Perhaps because he is such a central point, the scene is more captivating. The producers and actors share their memories of the scene, and viewers get to see behind-the-scenes footage of the crew that suddenly fills them on the set to offer medical help. The sling that he then needs to wear is written on the show, and suddenly an episode you may have seen a million times comes to focus through a new lens. how are you'?
6. Reunion ends
The end of the reunion, like the beginning, mixes the gloom with sweets. Kudrow perfectly explains why the characters shouldn't reunite in another series or film, noting that all six ended on a happy note, and the writers must highlight the joy of friends for the reunion film .
Show host James Corden asks each actor where their characters will be today (surprisingly, LeBlanc has the best answer), then the show rolls out previously unseen footage of the famous fountain dance from the opening credits. (Note that cheap children's Disney bath towels are given to the cast to dry themselves up.) This is a satisfying ending to a satisfying reunion, perhaps by Schwimmer pretending that he has met the actress who has for a decade Played the role of his sister. "Is this Courtney?" He tells Cox. It is so.
