Timo Werner, Mason send Chelsea to Champions League final with win over Mount Real Madrid
Chelsea reached their first Champions League final since 2012 and went on to win a 3–0 aggregate score over Stamford Bridge on Wednesday with a 2–0 win over Real Madrid in their semi-final second leg.
His away goal in Madrid had given Chelsea a narrow advantage in the comeback, and he missed a host of opportunities that would have given him a very wide margin of victory.

Madrid, who welcomed captain Sergio Ramos, controlled the possession from the kickoff without creating a chance of note.
Werner should have given Chelsea an edge for 18 minutes when he tapped home from Ben Chilwell's cross, but was off when he didn't need to be.
Chelsea goalkeeper Eduard Mendy landed a superb save to deny Karim Benzema when he managed to get a shot from the edge of the box.
Madrid, the competition's record winners with 13, struggled to create any further opportunities and it was Chelsea who started the second half again with Havert and hit the bar.
Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidan gave Eden Hazard a start on his return to his former club, but the Belgium International match was short for match fitness and had little impact on the competition.
Zidan said after the match: "With consistency, Eden has to play to regain his confidence, play, bit by bit. This is his second consecutive start; we have to bring Eden back to play."
Thomas Tuchel's side continued to create chances with Mason Mount and Thorn guilty of bad memories, while Christian Pulicic - who came on for Werner on 67 minutes - flashed a fine ball across the box that Havert had Failed to fetch in the end.
But, with five minutes left, Pulisic kept his cool while playing and delivered a ball to Mount, who deflected the ball from the boundary of the pass.
"We were entitled to win. The first half was difficult, they had too many possession and we suffered losses," Tuchel said.
In the sec half we could have scored so much earlier, to be so much safer, but now is no the time for criticism. It is a great achievement or a big congratulations to the team, he said.
Madrid midfielder Kasemiro said that his side's poor performance emphasized that this feat, achieved since 2018 in 2016, is to win the tournament in three seasons.
It turned out today that what we had done (before winning it) was historic, he said. "Winning the Champions League is no easy. Every game is difficult. Today once again showed that it is not easy to win.
The result meant Chelsea became the first club to have both male or female sides reach the Champions League final when Emma Hayes' side were to set up a performance with Barcelona after beating Bayern Munich in their semi finals on Sunday.
Chelsea's men's team will take on Manchester City in Istanbul on 29 May in a second All English Champions League final in 2 seasons.
Zidan, who was defending his strategy after the match, also said: "I think the system was clear: We played with 3 back-to-back & 2 wing-backs. Are. T turn out well - we have lost a lot. We had something missing, yes, but we tried, & that's football.
The players who played were fine to play. At the end of the game, we had some gas shortages. Vinicius played 2 games there. I remember against Getafe - he's a player who can do it.

After a few moments, Benzema again forced Mendy to a fine save with a header after some good play by Luka Modric.
