Courtney Stodden, who famously wed at age 16, is engaged again
A year after the reality star ended her controversial marriage to actor Doug Hutchinson, Courtney Stodden is engaged to partner Chris Sheng, whom she married when she was 16.
Stodden, who is now 26 and who came out as non-binary last month, announced the news on Instagram on Sunday. In one video, Stodden flashes a giant halo-style cushion-cut diamond ring.
"I said yes... oh and the ring made me so beautiful #engaged #stopasianhate #diamondsareagirlsbestfriend," the star captioned the post.
"Chris got down on one knee while I was crying my eyes out!" Stodden told E! News in particular. "We returned home from a night in Palm Springs and between the rosy and the mood swings, I needed a good cry!"
Starr said that they became emotional because "everything in the last few weeks has eradicated a lot of previous trauma."
"It was really such a lovely moment," Stodden said. "He reminded me that I'm not alone and said, 'I'm never going anywhere. I'll always be here for you.'"
Sheng, a 41-year-old entrepreneur who founded and worked as a consultant for several startups, and Stodden have been together for more than three years. On Sunday, he posted some pictures of himself wearing a star ring on Instagram and a shot of the Candlelight dinner table.

Stodden told E! It is reported that he "never sees himself getting married again."

Stodden said the engagement ring reminded her of Daisy Buchanan from "The Great Gatsby," one of her favorite movies.
