SEATTLE - The Seahawks were inactive for Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams with a neck injury while running behind Chris Carson.
The Seahawks were also without tight end Gerald Everett, who remains on COVID-19/reserve and missed his second straight game.
Carson was listed as a suspect after missing practice Tuesday and Wednesday after what coach Pete Carroll described as a recurring neck issue that flared back this week. Carson was also upset Thursday morning.
In Carson's absence, Alex Collins got most of the job. He gave the Seahawks a spark in their win over the San Francisco 49ers last weekend, with his 28-yard catch starting his first touchdown drive after five straight three-outs to start the game.
Collins finished with a touchdown for 78 yards and 12 touches.
With Rashad Penney on injured reserve for at least two more games, the other available tailbacks against the Seattle Rams were DJ Dallas and Travis Homer, who are commonly used in change-of-speed situations.
Seattle's other passives: defensive tackles Robert Nekemdiche, offensive tackles Stone Forsythe and Jake Kurhan, and cornerback John Reid.
Right tackle Brandon Schell and defensive end Benson Mayowa were active after missing the last two games. Defensive end LJ Collier was also active after a healthy scratch in three of the first four games of Seattle's 2019 first round.
The Rams had inactive quarterback Bryce Perkins, linebacker Chris Garrett, offensive lineman AJ Jackson, tight end Bryson Hopkins and defensive lineman Bobby Brown III.
