Sources have told ESPN that PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas is likely to remain at the club when Italy's No. 1 Gianluigi Donnarumma joins as a free agent.
Italy international Donnarumma, 22, will join AC Milan after turning down a new contract, where he made 251 senior appearances.
PSG did not plan to recruit a goalkeeper this summer, preferring to stay with Navas, but considered it too good to turn down the opportunity to sign Donnarumma to a free agent deal.
However, Navas is expected to start the campaign as the first-choice goalkeeper.
French newspaper L'Equipe reported on Friday that Navas, who signed a new contract last month, was furious to hear that the club had signed for Donnarumma this summer, but have since fought for the No. has been agreed.
The Costa Rica international scored just 18 goals in 29 Ligue 1 games last season and has a close relationship with manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was hired in January.
There is little chance that Donnarumma will return to Serie A on loan, but Pochettino is preparing to have two senior goalkeepers in his side this season.
Donnarumma's arrival will mean PSG have nine goalkeepers under professional contracts at the club. The list also includes Alphonse Arriola, who is back from his loan spells at Fulham and Sergio Rico, who played backup for Navas last season. The French giants are trying to land both the goalkeepers.
