Fellow co-star Brian Dietzen, who plays the lead medical examiner Jimmy Palmer, also commented on the post, saying, "My friends are very proud of you. Also, I'm gonna miss Hell with you on the set. I can't wait to see what you do next. Whatever it is, I'll be there in the front row. Thank you."
Wickersham is the latest series to leave NCIS after the exit of Jack Sloane (played by Maria Bello) earlier this season. There are also rumors that Mark Harmon, who is playing the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, may leave the show or reduce his role.
