‘NCIS’: Longtime Series Regular Confirms Exit Following Season 18 Finale

Longtime NCIS star Emily Wickersham has cleared up speculation that she might skip the crime process, confirming in an Instagram post that the finale of Season 18 was indeed her final episode.
"Hang on this hat and jacket. What a great ride it has been," wrote Wickersham, who played Ellie Bishop on the CBS drama. "This cast, this crew, are top notch. I cannot say enough kind words about this group that I have enjoyed working with for almost 8 years now and 172 episodes later. This business is nuanced and strange and continuity is rare. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of a show where I got a chance to show and act with amazing people and laugh and learn. I will certainly not forget a moment in time. Thank you to CBS and NCIS for including me in a part of television history. time goes fast. Eat it but chew slowly ❤️ ".
In Tuesday's season-ender, it is revealed that Bishop intentionally revealed himself to be the leaker of a confidential NSA file more than a decade ago as a rogue NCIS agent working for Odette (Ellen Taylor) To undercover. In the finale, the bishop leaves after giving a loving goodbye to Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and saying that he will be gone for a long time.
