Joaquin is going to the University of Michigan in the fall to join his wrestling team.
While talking about her son's next chapter in February, Ripa became emotional, saying in an episode of her talk show with Ryan Seacrest that Mark thought Joaquin would not be going to college because he was "deeply dyslexic and dysgraphic Was. "
He said that "through hard work, determination [and] healing" his son was able to overcome his struggles and now calls his learning disability "misunderstood learning".
Ripa and Mark tied the knot in 1996 and also shared 23-year-old son Michael and 19-year-old daughter Lola.
Michael graduated from New York University in 2020, a year after Lola began classes at the same school.
