Lock up your Szechuan sauce: Rick And Morty movie "will happen" says producer
Rick And Morty producer Scott Marder says there's one caveat: "It'd have to be pretty epic."
After years of being bogged down by the constraints of television, Rick & Morty is headed to the big screen, where they can say "crap" & show off characters' genitals, like in The Simpsons Movie. remember that? He showed Bart's penis, & we all just pretended it did not happen. But it happened. And it can happen again, except with Morty or something. Metro reports that creator Scott Marder "will" have a movie version of everyone's favorite Back to the Future parody, & yes, it will be "very epic."
"It's going to be tough, I would not be surprised if someone comes down the pipe one day," Marder said. "I think every episode is a movie. I want to see what a movie will be like, I think we are packing a lot. It has to be very epic."
"I think it will happen. I think it will happen."
How can a movie reach the level of epicness found in a Rick and Morty episode? Between the theoretical physics & the person turning himself into a pickle, the movie would need to go all out. This will require 4DX. Water, smelling, shaking, whole nine. Spencer Grammer, the voice of Summer's character, seems to agree.
"It must be something so big — like a 3D interactive movie that also has a theme park," she said. "I don't know if you can just do a straight movie. Those are 4D movie theaters in New York City."
Of course, you must have a very high I.Q. To understand all the water & the shaking & the smell because Rick & Morty is only for smart people. Still, it leaves the door open for more of those McDonald's promotions. No one wants to go through this again. So if this happens, please leave the Sichuan sauce at home.
Rick and Morty returns to Adult Swim for season five on June 20.
